KX-T: 824 Cuts out after 4 or 5 Rings

My guess is the surge protector...sounds like it is breaking down and
tripping ringing...often after multiple hits the breakdown voltage gets
lower and lower...
I also had a problem once where a cordless set was not seated well in the
base and it was "self answering" after a couple of rings....cleaning the
contacts solved the problem.
